1) If I do end up owning a restaurant in my life I would love to continue to run it until I have children who can choose to take it over, though it is rare that restaurants these days survive for that long, it would take a lot of updating to remain relevant.
2)I have selected this particular exit strategy because my parents have owned restaurants my entire life, it was my first job, and now my brother runs it for my parents. Since I have had so many good times within their restaurants I would like to be able to provide those sort of experiences for my children.
3) I suppose my exit strategy has influenced me in so much that I would like to own my restaurant solely without any partners, so that I would be able to pass it on to my kids.
I think you have a great strategy, Marco. If you have enough time to participate in your business and have a career, then I think this is great. Restaurants can be very profitable, if you do everything right. They can also be fun and a great way to spend time with our family. My exit strategy was different. I plan to sell my company in a few years after I am done with school because I will not have enough time to run my business and have a career in nursing. But even though I plan on leaving, I still look at opportunities for the long term, just like you. I still want my business to be successful, even after I am gone. So in a way, we are similar. Thank you for sharing. I think you have a great strategy. Check mine out at http://summerborges.blogspot.com/2016/04/my-exit-strategy.html
ReplyDeleteHello, your strategy is great (as long as you have the dedication, and love for your restaurant) it is always good to run a business that you love! I plan to sell my business as soon as possible because it isn't something I love, and then to find something I do love. ReplyDeleteHi Marco,
ReplyDeleteI love that you see a long term in your business, and hope for it to continue on with generations to come. Give customers a reason to come back, and you should be golden. I plan on selling my business off after its success. Unfortunately, I did not complete this assignment but great job.

Hello Marco,
ReplyDeleteI can relate with your strategy on many levels. I myself never know what the future holds, so being able to plan accordingly is really what keeps our businesses afoot. I figured I'd sell my business within the first 3-4 years only because my idea probably only has a lifespan of that long (most apps become irrelevant after a couple months...if that). I think your idea has the potential to last and implore to expand upon it! My next venture will likely be creating an app with a shorter lifespan for a quicker return on revenue. Great job and keep up the good work!
